When we were living in Clayton Idaho I used to walk up a canyon that was close to the house with
our dog.The canyon is named Spar Canyon. One day I was trying to come up with a title to use on my cards to go with the items
I sell. My things are hand crafted and
I have a variety of items I make. My favorite arts are Beadwork, Weaving, Crochet and Quilting, mosaics. Everything I seem to make
involves color. While walking up the canyon I was noticing all the beautiful colors of rocks. It was Fall and the trees
were changing colors. The sky was such a clear blue living so far from the polluted city. As I was thinking of how many
different shades of colors were around me the name Shades-Of-Idaho was born. I have been using it for almost 20 years.
We are now living in Midvale,Idaho. A slightly warmer climate from Clayton. We just moved here in July of 08. We had a new manufactured home and shop built. There is nothing in the yard yet. Will take some time.
