TEPPICH-LIEBE VERKNUPFT
Gerade als Jordanier bin ich stolz, Mitglied der eBay-Community zu sein und auf diese Weise etwas von unserer Kultur weiterzugeben, zumal das nicht viele meiner Landsleute von sich behaupten konnen. Es gibt auch gar kein jordanisches eBay-Portal, ich verkaufe meine Sachen auf ebay.com. Auf die Idee gebracht haben mich vor drei Jahren Verwandte, die in Arizona leben und mit dem Verkauf von Auto-Ersatzteilen bei eBay einen hubschen Nebenverdienst erwirtschaften. Da ich hier in Madaba einige vortreffliche Kunsthandwerker kenne, habe ich sie mit der Herstellung von Teppichen mit eBay-Logo beauftragt. Die Teppiche bot ich dann testweise bei eBay an. Die Nachfrage war auf Anhieb groB, also verkaufte ich bald auch andere Teppiche, Mosaiken, traditionelle jordanische Kleidung und Gebetsketten. Die meisten Interessenten leben in den USA.
Vor allem heiliges Wasser aus dem Fluss Jordan - Madaba liegt direkt am Jordan - verkaufe ich weltweit: auch nach Spanien, England und Deutschland.
Mit vielen meiner Stammkunden bin ich mittlerweile befreundet, ich schlieBe in meine Gebete ein. Mogen sie glucklich sein bis an ihr Lebensende, Inschallah!
