I have been collecting Peanuts/ Snoopy collectibles since I received my first Hallmark Peanuts ornament as a gift for X-mas back in 1990. I only started collecting ''hardcore'' once I found Ebay and it has become an addiction! I collect music boxes, banks, nodders, ceramics, X-mas ornaments, and any ''high quality'' items I can find. I stay away from PVC's and Plush's. I can't stop searching Ebay for the next great buy or rare item. I am always looking to communicate with my fellow collector so please drop me a line if you want to talk Peanuts!!
My Favorite Snoopy Item is...
The 15'' Italian Snoopy bank (see picture below, along with his little brothers :-) ). I found it on Ebay for $100 including shipping!! The seller had Zero feedback, provided no picture, and their description read ''Snoopy bank, about 1 foot tall, nice shape''. Nobody bid on it so I offered the seller $100 including shipping (it was originally listed for $75) and they were more than happy to sell it to me. I took a gamble on a newbie seller and it paid off!!

The display cases above and below were acquired while ''dumpster diving'' from my neighbor's garbage. He has a garage which is an absolute mess and he was in the process of cleaning it out. He was throwing away these two old Timex display cases like you would find on the jewelry counter at JC Penneys or Walmart. They light up and were perfect for diplaying some of my smaller pieces. The picture above is one as I originally found it and the one below I modified it a bit.
I Am The Luckiest Peanuts Collector Out There Because...
I had the great pleasure of meeting Freddi Margolin, the author of the Peanuts collector's bible ''The Home Collection: A Collector's Guide to Identification & Value''. I even went to her house to see and buy some of her collection!!! I just happend to come across one of her auctions (she is in the process of selling her collection) and in the description she wrote that if anyone wanted to buy from her directly (I didn't know this was the author of the price guide at this point) just contact her and she would make arrangements. When she told me who she was, I almost fell over in shock!! Well let me just say, I was in complete awe when I visited her home/ museum!! Her entire house had Peanuts collectibles displayed everywhere!! My heart was beating fast the entire time I was there and I was fortunate to even buy a few items from her vast collection. She says that 99.99% of the items in her book were from her personal collection. She had already sold a large portion of her collection by the time I visited but what was left had me drooling for hours. :-) What a super woman she is, she even sat down with me and talked Peanuts for over an hour. For those who have had the great pleasure of visiting her house and talking with her, you know what I am talking about.
I Am The Saddest Peanuts Collector Because...
I missed getting the Hungerford Pigpen doll for a Buy-It-Now price of $15 by about 5 minutes!!!! No joke!! I wish I had saved the auction to show you!! The seller had it listed as ''Peanuts Figure/ Doll''. Someone just beat me to it by minutes!!! I was crushed. I was searching Ebay and I think I had just ran to the bathroom and when I came back there it was in the listings, but someone had already grabbed it. :-( I emailed the seller to congratulate them and needless to say, they were happy campers.
