All shipping will from now on have to be trackable as registred letter (under 2 kilo or ordinary packages) I am tired of being robbed by Paypal.

 

Even though I regard the item as the buyers proberty from payment arrival Paypal thinks otherwise ..my responsibility apparently also include stealing postworkers or fraudulent buyers. With the help of Paypal I have just lost a good and expensive item to a buyer who knew conditions of sale but used Paypal to file a chargeback (return of payment) after only 6 days from shipping start. He only had to claim he hadnt recieved item and I who had reciept of several shippings but no specific tracking for the item could not stop the chargeback. I find it absurd and seriously unfair. This is why I only reluctantly accept Paypal ..in my opinion they owe me more than §300!! I see no reason supporting such a system that now in several cases has helped fraudulent buyers rob me.

 

DISCOUNT:

 

If you buy LPs for more than $1000 I offer 5% discount or free shipping whatever is most convenient for the buyer. Winners of auctions have 5% discount on most store items except for a few very rare items.

 

RETURN POLICY:

 

I try to grade (visually) as honestly as I can and in good light, but I am human and scratches can be invisible. I do accept return and will pay shipping back if the error is mine ..I do however trust that the buyer has common fair sense and decent communication ..LPs are almost never completely noiseless. Please read my feedback and feel confident in my obligation to offer an honest description and service, I hope I have covered all below but should you have questions please ask! I read german, spanish and french too.

 

GENERAL ISSUES ON PURCHASING VINTAGE VINYL LPs:

 

General issues on the purchase of used LPs. These live a tough life! From they leave their former owner till I find them, they risk total destruction and are most likely dragged around in boxes in all kind of weather by sellers who dont care a hoot. So please DO NOT EXPECT THE IMPOSSIBLE. I will try to grade honestly but most LPs will benefit from a cleaning or will need new innersleeves. I cannot supply neither because it would simply be too time-consuming and expensive. I also cannot playgrade every LP, that too would be too time-consuming. So I suggest a realistic view on these issues is needed. After all I do find rare LPs and give you the opportunity to optain these at sometime reasonable prices. Should I find the perfect "untouched by time" I will certainly let you know. Lastly please consider your playback system a 40-50 year old LP does not sound good with a Van den Hul cartridge ..my favourite is defenitely the Ortofon SPU ..it has a capacity to overhear wear and small scratches and still sound superb!

 

GRADING SYSTEM:

 

MINT= new and I mean NEW unopened maybe sealed.

NM = almost as new.

EXC = a little more wear but still almost as NM it might have a small nonsounding scuff or will need a clean.

VG+ = some wear or small scratches but playable.

 

All serious issues / scratches will be mentioned photos should show some issues and type of label. Price tags will not be mentioned most of these go off easely ..I kind of like to see the prices they took for LPs here in this part of the world.

 

PRICING:

 

Concerning pricing I check popsike.com or gemm and Rare Classical Record Price Guide 2006 for prices. I am a little stubborn on issues like Decca SXL suddenly should be worth nothing ...they are rare and will only become rarer and the outperform almost any other LP in sound. I might be wrong about my pricing and I do know sometime too high simply because I have to use my intuition too, but I am willing to discuss to a certain point as long as I dont feel I give gold away for nothing. The fact that an auction ended low only means that there where no buyers at that specific time ..and does not nescesarely mean that that is market price.

 

PAYMENT:

 

Payment max 3 days after auction end unless we agree otherwise, please let me know if you intend to bid on further auctions. I am willing to stock purchase to combine shipping but not for longer than 2 weeks otherwise Ebay systems will be difficult to work with and new invoices cant be made. Due to the high cost of Paypal I have to insist on payment over $200 as moneyorder or banktransfer. All europeans should have no high expense on bank transfers. Should you wish to purchase some special LP and want anonymity please let me know and I will make the listing so.

 

AND A LITTLE MESSAGE / OPEN LETTER TO EBAY:

 

I look forward to the day where sellers and buyers are treated equally on Ebay ..as it is now the amount of absurdities you as a foreign seller have to deal with is completely over the top ..I suppose that goes for american sellers too. F.ex. I suddenly went from a feedback of 99.8% to 99.6% simply due to neutral feedbacks suddenly counts as negatives ..I doubt the buyer intended them to be counted as such, this was just another of the absurdities one have to live with here on Ebay. Now I cant state actual shipping cost even though it is logical I cant ship to US for $4 from Europe and next Paypal will be a demand for all listings even though the help fraudulent buyers rob me and btw exchange at a lower than normal rate. Now I cant give negative feedback to buyers ..so I can only hope that the next prick will not turn up ..which he unfortunately possibly will sooner or later. I wonder what will come next and when Ebay will support and protect the sellers too. My trust in the bidding system is very little too ..I simply don’t understand why listings ends on schedule not allowing the auction to develop ..a real auction would allow that and last minute bidding should be diminished and obstructed by prolonging the auction untill it ebs out ..that would be a natural auction. The present system is not to the benefit of any parts involved, seller, buyer or Ebay. Sellers do pay quite a lot to Ebay ..up to 15% of the item plus Paypal fees and insertion fees ..but as it is now they are left with no means of protecting themselves. Let me put it like this I would leave this site if there was another auction-site working better and more fair to all parts involved than this is.
