TRADING PARAMETERS – I prefer to trade newer cards for newer cards, and vintage for vintage, but I’ll always listen to any offer. I generally use Beckett High values and as long as we’re somewhat close in total BV, that usually works for me. Also, I adjust for condition based on Beckett guidelines when determining book value. If I have a $100 card from 1963 Topps and it’s only Ex, I’ll consider it $40 BV, for example. I also prefer to trade similar value cards - they don’t have to match up exactly, but the point is that I don’t like trading a single $100 vintage star for a stack of commons that also adds up to $100 in BV.

CONDITION – Condition for what I’m looking for is generally noted after the set title. However, for vintage, I like to get mostly Ex-ExMt cards or better, which (to me) means at least 80/20 centering and no creases, surface wrinkles, rounded corners, paper loss, tears, writing, pin holes, serious scuffing, etc.

PRIORITY - Higher priority sets for me are 1957, 1967, 1969, and 1972 Topps. The next priority level is 1959, 1961, 1964, 1966, 1968, 1971, since I just started these and have a long way to go. The Topps Heritage sets are pretty low priority, but I’m always happy to make progress towards completing them. After that, upgrades are always nice to get, too, but lower priority like the Topps Heritage. Thanks for looking at my site.
