Mini-Whinnies has been making quality items for model horses since 1999. My line of model horse clothing includes stable blankets, turnout blankets, sheets, saddle pads, western saddle blankets, racing saddle cloths, shipping boots, fly sheets, bonnets and masks, dress blankets, antisweat sheets, longe lines and side reins, leather halters, western show halters, Arabian halters, and three unique and exclusive lines of nylon halters, which are the Name Halters, and the Deluxe and Designer. Mini-Whinnies customers include horse lovers and owners, model horse collectors of all ages, and model horse show enthusiasts. The goal of Mini-Whinnies For Model Horses is to provide quality, collectible items that are enjoyable to own, realistic in appearance, fit well, and made from quality materials. I want you, the customer, to be as pleased with your purchase as I would want to be myself, when I buy something. The challenge is in the details! Many of the items I make- especially with the blanket lines- may be one-of-a-kind. Everything is made with great attention to detail, using my own horse and real horse items as guides, and may take a long time to complete. Each item is made one at a time. I never have a backstock of "cookie cutter" items where the item is quickly produced, several at a time, and not fitted to the models it is intended for. I believe in quality over quantity. That's why my blankets and halters fit so well! Why buy blankets? In addition to their usefulness as toys, blankets serve another, important function for model horses. Many of us have quite a bit of money invested in our models. It's emotionally painful to have them get damaged when they bang into each other on the shelf or, heaven forbid, they should fall off a shelf!! Blankets give them a measure of protection from dings and bangs- and since a blanket is obvious on the horse, why not have it look as classy as the horse it adorns? It's sad to see an old dishrag on the back of a hundred-dollar model.
I offer several varieties of blanket hardware- and I'm the only blanket maker who offers genuine, custom-cast T-lock buckles in three different metals, depending on your budget and tastes. I also am the only blanket maker to offer miniature side-release buckles, and I also use snap clasps, velcro and double ring buckles. My "nylon" halters are made from the best materials I can find, and I have a large stock of colors. I now can offer a line of "nylon" halters from custom-made, custom-dyed material in even more colors! And it's narrow enough to make halters for classic-size horses, as well as traditionals! Whether it be something from my store, or a custom-made item made to your specifications, I take pride in offering quality items that I hope will make my customers happy for a long time to come. After all, I do want your model horses to be well-dressed!!
