After nearly twenty years in a corporate software sales career, I decided it was time to do something that I loved. As a kid, growing up in New England in the late 50s and through the 60s I loved baseball and baseball cards. Like most, I had a collection, with all the greats Williams, Mantle, Mays, Koufax, Aaron. Througth the years, like most, the cards were lost or destroyed. When I had a son of my own, I had a great excuse to dive back into collecting again as something to share with my son, Jordan. Now he is living his dream as a pitcher in the Detroit Tiger's organization,
and I am pursuing mine of owning a card shop. I would trade my dream for his in a heartbeat, but alas, I do not possess a 95 mph fastball.
When I considered opening my ebay store I was guided by some basic principle's, these are:
1. Integrity, provide a quality product and an honest representation of it, "what you see is what you get."
2. Quality customer service, treat people the way you would wish to be treated and do your best to provide a quick turnaround on delivery.
3. Guarantee of satisfaction, when someone is dissatisfied do your very best to make it right.
What it all the words add up to is, the experience should be fun for you and for me. If it is we both gain and if it isn't I'll have to go back to selling software!!!
