Everything started in 1987 when i received my first Casio SK8 mini sampler keyboard. I made my first hip hop beats. A few months later, my father bought me an Aiwa radio and a Run-DMC tape. Everything changed from there. I started listening to rap music everyday and i bought every rap album that came out. I was 13 at that time. I was into sample base Hip Hop and i was so intrigued by how they created beats with snippets taken from vinyls.
My father and i were going into yard sales and bazaars digging for records. I started a small collection and my beats were getting better. At 27 i went to the Trebas Institute to study sound engineering and recording. After i graduated, i produced and composed my first hip hop album with my band. I also designed multiple sound libraries for beat producers, including the Drumlabz series. Meanwhile my father and i were always buying records, briging home 200 to 500 each week. In 2000 we had about 350,000 Lps. In 2005 i acquired a huge collection of 40,000 vinyls from a long time collector.

But my first passion was and still is making music. I sell a few beats & libraries here and there, but still not enough to make a living. So in order to stay in the music field and enrich my passion and knowledge for it, i decided to sell records. I didn't have a big budget to open a street store so right away an eBay store came to mind. Top Rank Records has been serving customers since July 2007. I absolutely love what i do. Of course my father and i always keep buying records to offer a bigger selection to our customers. I also have talent in design and illustration. Im an autodidact. I've learned a lot by myself and thru practice.
