Worldwide Triangular Stamps

A rare 'aberration'.......

 As my user-ID suggests, yes I am a collector of worldwide triangular stamps. Apparently we are a rare breed. So far only about 25 fellow collectors have been located (there must be more hiding out there....). I collect triangular postage stamps mint (if affordable) and on cover, from their very beginning in 1853 until the present day. I include triangular local post stamps and revenues as well as blocks, souvenir sheets, errors, proofs and other varieties. I (try to) exclude Cinderellas and FDC's.

As for myself.....

 For me it all started some 20 years ago. Consider me nowadays as a serious collector of triangular stamps, currently at a slow pace though. Some personal data: my name is Maarten Willems, I am 52 years old, I live in the Netherlands with my wife and 18 year old son, I am an assistant professor in architectural engineering at the Eindhoven University of Technology. Besides this I am a freelance journalist on architecture and (occasionally) Scotch whisky.



Currently I am particularly keen on finding these classic beauties on cover.
Other aberrations: bass guitar, Scotch malt whisky (savouring, not collecting), collecting wacky sunglasses, number Pi.
