     Tropical Accents is a new online source for original women's fashion designs. We specialize in garments for the petite woman, and whether you are shopping for yourself or looking to resell, our flexible skills and unique services can offer just what you're looking for: fresh styles, higher quality, super fit, and affordable prices.

  We draw upon 20 years of custom-tailoring experience – a process that includes thorough study and design... material planning and preparation... careful measuring, master-cutting and stitching... all the way to the custom fitting and fine touches like embroidery or beadwork. We've created dresses for satisfied buyers in several countries throughout the world, and now we proudly offer our services and original designs to you via the internet.
• Pride in handiwork
  We sell the fruit of our hands. We take an artist's pride in our craftsmanship because we know that the quality will reflect directly on us. Therefore, you can be sure that each item is designed and sewn with great care, no matter how simple or elaborate.
• Design and materials
  We don't use ordinary or cheap fabrics, and we don't choose ordinary accessories and materials (like zippers and trimmings) or skimp on supplies. The fabrics are studied and chosen to best fit the styles that we've envisioned – to drape, fit, look, and feel the way we planned in our designs.

Who and where is "Tropical Accents"?

     The Tropical Accents partnership spans two continents, and it relies on teamwork and collaboration between each member:

• Administrative tasks such as payments, shipment of in-stock items, returns, and internet updates are handled here in the USA in suburban Maryland.
• Our small and talented production team is based in Davao City, Philippines. Each new custom-requested item is created in this lovely island location and carefully shipped to the individual buyer.
• Since we use our own imaginations and handiwork to produce each item, we will never be forced to employ cheap sweatshop labor or child slave workers – the way many large manufacturers do to unjustly keep their costs low. We are more of a family and not a faceless corporation.

How to Measure for a Good Fit

     The better your clothes fit your unique body, the more flattering they will look on you and the more comfortable they will feel. If you can supply us with accurate measurements of your proportions, we'll do our best to tailor your customized item so that it fits you in a personalized way – not too snug or too loose, but just right. The proper size is very important because we want you to look and feel great! So before bidding or requesting a certain size, please take a few moments and follow our measurement instructions below.

Measuring tips:

• You will need a soft (and accurate) tape measure. Keep the measuring tape comfortably "snug" on your body but not too tight, and measure the fullest part of each area.
• For the most ease and accuracy, it helps to have another person assist you in taking your measurements. Your posture will be natural and more relaxed. Otherwise, use a full-length mirror as an aid.
• When you measure, be sure to wear only the clothing that you typically wear underneath your dresses, such as your undergarments. For example, if you plan to wear a bra beneath your dress, measure yourself with a bra.
• If you have any doubts or questions about measurements or sizes, simply ask us and we'll try to help!

Additional Shipping Details

• We do not gouge our buyers with high shipping and handling charges. We usually charge less than our mailing expenses.
• Orders for pre-made items are processed and shipped within 24 hours after payment is received and cleared. You will be notified about the extra time needed to complete custom requests.
• For custom-tailored items, please allow up to 3 weeks (18 mailing days) for delivery with registered international mail. Remember that your items are being delivered from halfway around the world – the best way for us to offer you terrific quality and a personalized fit at a bargain price. (If a shipment ever seems unusually delayed, please be sure to contact us.)
• Express Mail Service is also available – for faster delivery at a higher cost. These shipments come with a tracking number and arrive in 5-10 mailing days. This is a highly recommended option.

• Each new item is folded, sealed in a protective bag, and carefully packed to keep it secure and protected while in transit.
• If any shipments are lost in the mail and never arrive, please contact us. We will remake the order and send it again for you. If this is not possible, we will issue a refund.
• U.S. Customs does not assess a duty [a fee or import tax] to small, individual internet purchases that are delivered from outside the country, but if you live in another country or you are ordering a batch shipment, you should check with your post office or Customs department to confirm what the duty rate might be [if any].

Return Policy

     We feel confident that you'll appreciate the quality of our items, and we offer a customer-friendly return policy to give you peace of mind about shopping with us. To help ensure satisfaction, please read the descriptions and view the photographs of each design carefully before ordering. We do our best to be extremely thorough and accurate in our presentations. Also, please double-check your measurements to be sure that the item(s) will fit you nicely. (Helpful measuring instructions can be found above.) But if you are not satisfied with your purchase and you would like to make a return, this is what we offer:

1. First, contact us within 2 weeks of receiving the item and let us know that you want to make a return (and why).
2. Next, pack and mail the unworn item (in its new condition) safely back to us – at our USA location in Maryland, for your convenience.
3. Then you may choose from the following reimbursement options:
   • Exchange
     We can send you an identical item in a different size or color if one is available. (Additional shipping fee will be required.)
   • Store Credit
     We can give you a credit for the full purchase price of the item towards any future purchases with us. Use it now, use it later, apply it partially... it's up to you!
   • 100% Refund
     Or if you prefer, we are willing to refund the full purchase price of the item. (Shipping fees are not included.)
