Over the course of Sheena’s 365-day wear-a-thon challenge, the U.P has received countless donations; handmade, vintage and designer accessories that Sheena has artfully paired with her little black dress. In the true spirit of re-use and to further boost the fundraiser for the children of Akanksha, we are auctioning off all of the lovely donations — hats, belts, necklaces, scarves, capes, head wraps, corsets, collars, bracelets, skirts, gloves, sweaters, pants, shoes and much more.
All of these accessories have been featured on the Uniform Project website, on multiple days and in every imaginable way. From necklaces on her head to pants around her neck, Sheena has proven that with a little creativity, one fabulous accessory can go a long way. And with your winning bid these accessories can take on a new life in your wardrobe while supporting another underprivileged child’s education.
What is the Uniform Project?
Starting May 2009, Sheena Matheiken has pledged to wear one dress for one year as an exercise in sustainable fashion, while raising educational funds for underprivileged children in India. Follow Sheena’s last month as we approach the grand finale at www.theuniformproject.com
