If you are looking at my starter jackets and want to know about combined shipping, a lot of the information is below.  I will combine, but cannot quote combined rates ahead of time for this country, that zip code, etc.  I have the coats hanging in my basement and I can't keep taking them down to put different ones in boxes, then weigh them, then check the rates, etc, put them back up.  As you know, the coats don't weigh much, but they are bulky, so any box is going to be large once we are talking 3 or more.  Please be patient and trust me to do the right thing if you win more than one.  I know that is a tall order, but look at my feedback...I combine all the time and do not gouge buyers on shipping cost.  There is virtually no handling involved with these coats, so the handling charges will be limited to $1 plus cost of packaging materials (plain shipping cartons) and insurance, no matter how many you win.  In other words, after I package your wins, I will only add the cost of the box or boxes, insurance, and $1 to the actual shipping cost.  If you are overseas, I can only ship express mail to most countries, and priority mail to UK, Australia, and Canada if you want to use PayPal to pay.  I am in zip code 19348.  You can check the shipping rates at www.usps.com yourself for your own zip code based on the number of coats you want.  Each coat weighs about 1 lb 6 ounces by itself.  Then add in more weight for the box, insurance (based on price you are figuring you will bid it up to), $1, and you can get an idea as to what it is going to weigh and cost.  Hope this helps!     

Who is Veranda Estate Sales?

My name is Jane Miller and I am an eBay trading assistant.  Most of my items come from senior citizens who are downsizing and moving to smaller living quarters in continuing care retirement communities. I do my best to research and describe the items I sell and nearly everything starts at $9.99 or less.  Ask any questions you may have well in advance of the auction's end so that I have time to respond, as I am often tied up with dinner and other activities when the auctions are ending.

Shipping

I use USPS Priority Mail primarily.  USPS Parcel Post rates will be quoted in the invoice on larger items if it provides a savings to the winning bidder and I have plain shipping cartons available when the auction ends.  I may quote UPS rates, but the handling fee will include a $5 charge for UPS to pick up as I don't have time to drop off large packages.  I use eBay for invoicing and process all shipping labels through PayPal or click n ship (if PayPal system not working).  I SHIP SAME DAY AS OR NEXT DAY AFTER CLEARED PAYMENT RECEIVED...it depends on the time of day and whether or not a Sunday or federal holiday is involved.  Most auctions end on Sunday night and if payment is received by 9:00 am Monday morning, it will be shipped that same Monday!

I combine shipping for items that end on same day and can be safely packaged together.  Your savings is based on combined weight in single package.  I will not be able to quote combined shipping rates until the items in question have actually been packaged in the appropriate size box and weighed. I will not gouge you and simply add the cost of shipping all items separately.. in most cases, your shipping savings will be significant.  Items that end on separate days can be combined if you are the high bidder on additional items when the earlier item ends.  If you intend on bidding on additional items but are not currently high bidder, there is no way for me to avoid packaging the first item and invoicing you as such unless you e-mail me of your intentions before hand. In other words, if I can't see that you are high bidder on something else, I am going to package what you just won and invoice you that way. 

Handling Fees

My handling fees are very reasonable.  They only help to OFFSET the cost of the following:

• bubble wrap
• packing peanuts
• blank newsprint
• shipping labels
• fragile and special handling stickers
• plain shipping cartons (for UPS or Parcel Post)
• bubble mailers and padded envelopes
• paper pads (multi-layer paper for large items)
• tissue paper
• printer ink - I have a printer dedicated to eBay printing
• insurance

PayPal

• I only ship to the address that is IN the PayPal transaction.  Written or verbal requests to change that address are not honored under any circumstances when PayPal is the payment method used.  If you want shipment to a relative, vacation address, friend in the US, or work address, be sure that address is used for both eBay (so the invoice is correct) as well as PayPal BEFORE YOU BID. 
• Any PayPal payment which exceeds $250 must also include signature confirmation ($1.95).  If you check out before I can invoice you and you did not add $1.95 for signature confirmation, I will refund your payment and invoice you for the correct amount. 

Insurance

• Please contact me as soon as you receive an item that is damaged in shipping. Retain all packing materials and cartons for inspection.  I will file all claims.
• I will also file claims for items lost in transit

Terms and Conditions

If the auction does not include a Buy it Now option, it is not available for BIN.  My contract with most of my clients stipulates that I must list as an auction and let the market determine the value.

I do not end auctions early.

I do not accept personal checks under any circumstances.  Waiting for them to clear takes too long and interferes with my business.

I file unpaid item dispute if payment not received in 7 days and you have not contacted me to discuss any problems with making payment.

Returns

See item description.  Generally speaking, returns are not accepted unless the item is not as described.  Everything I sell is as found. 

International Shipping

• I do not use first class shipping EVER so please do not ask me to quote for that shipping method.
• Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility.
• Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.
• These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when you pick the item up – do not confuse them for additional shipping charges.
• We do not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as "gifts" - US and International government regulations prohibit such behavior.  Your item will be marked as 'merchandise.'
• I do not falsify customs documents with regard to value.  The price you paid will be shown as the value.
