Please be sure to read below for important announcements and "the fine print" for all our auctions.
A note to all our customers: our oldest child was diagnosed with a serious chronic medical condition in late 2008. It will take us many months (some say at least a year) to adjust to this and settle into the new routines. On occasion, it has interrupted and will continue to interrupt us and derail our schedules, and may delay shipments or follow-through on questions unexpectedly for up to several days, though not indefinitely.
There is not going to be any way to predict these interruptions most of the time, and often we'll be unavailable to communicate in the middle of them as well. That said, we will pick up the ball wherever we've dropped it in mid-bounce, as soon as we're able and get back to you or mail out your package then. Please email us if you have any questions or concerns and we do apologize for the effect this is having on our ebay clientele.
Announcements:
We sell blank calendars in two sizes - 8.5x11 (full sheet) and 5.5x8.5 (half sheet)
They're useful and great for photos, rubber stamping, scrapbooking and other crafts.
Notes to the Buyer (all those little
details you never wanted but still need to know)
This is a home-based business and we have a busy young family and our schedules are sometimes hectic for several days and kids do get sick and have emergencies (more often than usual now with a child with a chronic condition). Occasionally, because of our stage of life, packages may take a week to be mailed. You can always email us to let us know if you're in a rush for something and we'll do what we can to accommodate. Similarly, we generally check email fairly often but on rare occasions, just once a day if it’s a particularly busy one. This means you may not hear a response right away. Please know that we will get back to you as soon as we have chance. Do email us if you have any questions and especially if a day has passed and you haven’t received a reply. We are happy to serve you and thank you for your interest in our auctions.
Email – not ebay’s my messages - is our primary mode of communication with our buyers. It has come up many times in the past few months that buyers either do not have a working email address on file with ebay or that our emails are being rejected as spam. You are responsible to make sure that we can communicate with you via email. If you are a winning bidder, we will send an email directly to you using the email address you have on file with ebay with a total due, including shipping and handling, and reflecting any applicable discount for winning multiple items from us. This email will also have payment instructions and other important information. If you do not get this email within 36 hours of the auction ending, please check your spam filter and/or contact us directly.
In all our auctions, we list a fixed shipping and handling rate. This is to allow you to know exactly what you would pay for an item if you win it, and we ask that you bid accordingly. If the shipping/handling is more than you wish to pay, we ask that you simply not bid. There are no hidden costs in our auctions and that's the way we like to do business. This charge covers actual shipping charges, ebay fees, paypal fees, mailing/packaging costs and other miscellaneous expenses. To give you an example, our typical small rubber stamp that lists and then sells for $.99 mailed to a US address costs us a minimum of $.20 to list, $.05 for final value fee, $.40 paypal fee, $1.35 to mail, and $.15 to package - for a total of $2.05. For another example, the final value fees on the calendars and inspiration sheets are 12%. That means that we are charged by ebay $.54 for the sale of each and every larger calendar we sell at full price PLUS the listing fee and the paypal fee (neither of which is insignificant). The fee for a complete set of 97 Inspiration sheets is roughly $3.50. Needless to say the impact of these fees is HUGE and is why we charge a handling fee to help defray these costs. On account of this, we do recycle packaging wherever possible to help keep costs to a minimum as well as out of a desire to be good stewards of our environment and keep trash to a minimum.
Paypal is our only accepted form of payment for all purchases, effective in October 2008 per changes made by ebay. Paypal payments can be made using any of the paypal links in ebay. This paypal account accepts all forms of paypal payments. Please email us if you have any questions about this.
Insurance is not included and is at the buyer's discretion unless otherwise stated in the auction description. We are not responsible for the loss or damage of uninsured items once they leave our hands.
We tend to mail packages twice a week, more often whenever possible.
We do our best to let you know when your item is mailed so that you know when you can expect it and appreciate your letting us know when you receive it.
We like to both give and receive feedback, as this is how ebay works. Generally we wait to leave feedback until we know you have received the item and the sale is complete. Please note that any feedback DSR of less than 5 affects our bottom line - ebay has linked that number with the fees we sellers incur. A score of less than 4.9 in any one area literally penalizes us, and less than 4.5 starts disqualifying us from things, so unfortunately this makes a grade of 4 stars a 'failing' grade (you have to love how ebay works - talk about grade inflation!). So, if there is any reason you would leave anything less than a 5 that you are willing to share with us by email, we'd appreciate the input so that we can improve as much as we're able to in all areas of good customer service.
We will email winning bidders within three days of the close of an auction, usually within 24 hours. If we do not hear back from you or do not receive payment in a timely manner, we will take appropriate actions. We expect anyone who bids on our items to be willing to follow through in a timely manner should they win the auction, per ebay policy. We want to make it clear up front that we will report buyers to ebay if they do not follow through on a sale.
Items are sold as is. We do our best to describe items as accurately as possible in our auction description. If you win an auction, please do not hesitate to email us if you have any questions about the item, its condition, or how to use it once you have received it.
Sales are generally speaking final.

Our Ebay Activity
Initially we got involved on ebay as a way to save money on items we needed, particularly to outfit our home PC and to clothe our kids. From there, we became sellers as an alternative to consignment as we sorted through items in our home to make room for our growing family.
About Us
We live fairly quiet and peaceful lives in northwestern Vermont, between Lake Champlain and the Green Mountains. Our life largely revolves around our young family, including our church family, and growing in our knowledge of and personal relationship with Jesus Christ. We enjoy playing at the playground, going for walks, visiting the library, and enjoying nature in all its phases and stages. Our indoor projects of choice when the weather is not amenable to being outside include reading books, having "tea parties" (both real and pretend), rubber stamping, playing games, building towers (and knocking them down), lining up toy cars (and making lots of cool noises), and baking brownies and other yummy desserts (and popcorn). We do enjoy watching TV, including one of our favorites, Caillou (in French of course).
