I am the owner and designer of WestArtGlass Studio (tm), and have successfully worked since 1969 as a commercial, award winning MIXED MEDIA, EQUINE, HALLOWEEN and WILDLIFE artist in stained glass, fine oils, acrylics, watercolors, pen, inks, pastels, polymer clay, sculpture and other mixed media.

I use the different media in a wide variety of creations, including stained glass panels, windows, doors, on wood, stones, rocks, etc., and quite often mix and make use of metallics, fabrics, semi-precious stones, gemstones, and/or other types of embellishments.  My creations include stained glass, fused and/or painted glass, DICHROIC glass, dichroic glass jewelry, painted artwork, fine oils, fiber and paper crafts, collages, rubber stampings, and other assorted artwork.  My paintings and/or artwork can be found in every US state, numerous foreign countries, and in private collections throughout the world.

As family genealogy includes Cherokee heritage,many creations feature Native American type artwork.

I am, and have always been, a horsewoman, having owned, raised, trained, ridden, shown and loved horses throughout my life....my all time favorite series of ORIGINAL, ONE OF A KIND ARTWORK on fused, dichroic, painted pendants features horses and ponies of all breeds.

I also love birds and flowers, and have been a memb er of the Audubon Society, American Iris Society, and am a founding member of the Arkansas Iris Society.  Irises from our farm grace the riverfront parks of both North Little Rock, AR and of Memphis, TN. 

For many years I have been a supporter of Ducks Unlimited tm, and my artwork can be found in the homes, lodges, hunting clubs of Duck's Unlimited members throughout the entire US and numerous foreign countries.

Love of the arts runs very deep in my family, with all members of both my Dad's and Mother's families either having been artists, or having worked to create items of beauty. 

My, husband, Harold, does not work as an artist but  has always, throughout our entire marriage,  been the guiding light of my career, offering suggestions, critiques, and encouragement in everything I've ever created.  I have never had to want for art materials, supplies or equipment, because, no matter what our financial situation,  he has always managed to provide the necessary items  needed.  Over the  years he has made sure that I have always had  an area in which to create art, has helped as I have  loaded, unloaded, done set ups at art shows......he has always been by my side as I've worked through rain, freezing temperatures, foot deep freezing water, sweltering heat, even tornado warnings,  in tents, outside display areas, convention centers, shopping centers, art centers, etc.   He has gone with me to  seek out museums all over the US, and has  patiently supported all of my art endeavors.  Quite simply he is not only my No. 1 supporter,  the love of my life, but is also my best friend.

Our daughter, also a mixed media artist,  creates whimsical dark art, DOTD artwork,  paints tropical fish, and/or Amazon Rain Forest flora and fauna on cypress knees, has three Olde World Santas in the permanent collection at the White House in Washington, D.C.,  is the Art Teacher for her school district.   Our Grand Son loves creating woodwork items.  Our Grand Daughter will attend college this Fall on a full scholarship in art,  where she will begin to  prepare for a career as an Art Teacher.  Art, to my family, is a life force.

SPECIAL AWARDS/SPECIAL COMMISSIONS

1989-1999 Arkansas Industrial Development Commission used my artwork as special complimentary gifts for foreign dignitaries visiting the State of Arkansas.

2003 - Commission to paint equine portraits of the individual horses owned by each of the twenty International Judges of the World Olympic Championship Dressage Horse Event held at River Bend Ranch, Utah, USA.

2005 - Commission to create awards for the International Jewish Federation of Upper New York States  annual Horse Show.  (This show featured well over 800 entries,  multiple classes, and Best of Show Awards).
