Hi,
Thank you so much for your interest in Willow Fine Arts.
The Internet can be very impersonal and so we hope that the information below helps our customers to get to know us a little better.
We are a husband and wife team working from our home in rural Herefordshire, England.
We are both graduates, having spent our lives working in healthcare and education. We reached a stage in our lives when we both decided we wanted to do a business where we worked together. Combining our experiences and strengths to create Willow Fine Arts.
Our love of antique maps and fine art antique prints was encouraged by my father in law who has spent his life’s work in collecting and restoring antique works of art. He has taught us extensively in restoration, dating, preservation and hand colouring. We still work closely with him and draw on his 35-years of experience for checking the authenticity of the antique works of art and also the exact dating of the items. We also get fabulous assistance from an expert legal team and have a fantastic range of sources for superb antique maps and prints. As a result new items are added to our store daily.
My wife’s main interest is in botanical prints, religious engravings, birds and children’s prints. She is also a fine water colour artist in her own right.
Having worked and travelled extensively around the world and cycled over 6000km around Europe, raising money for charity – I have a love for travel prints, topography and antique maps.
We have a real passion and enthusiasm for the maps and prints that we sell. We don't think of Willow Fine Arts as a business, it is a way of life. The art work is amazing and we are delighted to be able to offer it for sale giving it a whole new lease of life, sharing our passion with our customers from all over the world.
We are always delighted to answer any questions you may have about a map or print and will respond as soon as we receive the question. Where possible we write to you in both English and, if this is not your first language, your native language as well.
We now have many valued customers including museums, universities, monastries and collectors. At Willow Fine Arts we work hard to ensure all our customers receive the best possible service. We believe our customers deserve the best, and we work tirelessly to try and ensure they get it.
Thank you for reading the "About me" section, we hope that you will come to share in our passion for keeping history alive, and for preserving high quality antique maps and prints for generations to come.
Happy Browsing, and welcome,
Kind regards
Matthew and Sam
