I have 3 "furchildren" aka pets. All are either former strays or rescues. All of my pets are neutered or spayed. I love my animals and am glad to be able to have them in my life. They bring me so much joy and laughter (and at times aggravation). Jack-Splatt is a Lhasa Apso, he was adopted in October of 2002. He was found running down the middle of a major hwy. Jack was approx 12 wks old when I got him. It took a lot of love and paitence to get Jack to trust us. He was so scared of people, especially men...Now Jack will greet most people with a wagging tail and happy bark. Jill is a Japanese Chin, she was rescued off a busy street during rush hour in the city I live in. She was taken to the Animal Shelter and when no one claimed her; she was put up for adoption (the person who found her adopted her. Jill did not fit in with this persons large breed dogs, so I adopted her). I have a huge orange & white tabby cat named Teddy. He took up residence at our house in the summer of 1996. I guess he liked the food because he stayed. I had him neutered & vaccinated. Tag-A-Long was a gray & white tabby cat who was found curled up sleeping in a flower pot on our deck during the summer of 2002, I lost Tag in 2008. Tag was so tiny, his milk teeth were barely thru his gums. He is very skittish (I think it is because of how he was treated before living with us). Tag was neutered & vaccinated thru the Univeristy of Florida's College of Veterinary Medicine program "Operation Catnip" this is a free sterilization program for stray & feral cats. Rufus was a Siamese mix male who was about 10 wks old when we got him in December 2004. He is a real snuggle kitty who likes to kiss and cuddle. Ru is a brat, he is vocal and has many trills and squeaks. I have to confess he can cuss like a sailor in Siamese. I am glad he recovered his voice, after he was neutered he did not speak to me for about 6 months...LOL! I miss his voice, I lost Ruru about 4 weeks after Tag passed in 2008.
